I have just realised we haven't actually posted anything on the website to commemorate our late chairperson, Laurence Wilson. In case anyone was unaware, Laurence sadly passed away in July and will be much missed by all of us at BFS. It has been brought to my attention that there have been some comments on the use of photographs on the website, with some people feeling it inappropriate that we continue to show photos of Laurence on the home page. I would be interested to know people's views and comments. My own view is that Laurence played such a big part in the organisation, as shown by the photographs depicting his cycle run, involvement in AGMs, and in board photos that we should continue to show this. I will remember Laurence with a huge smile planning for the future of the organisation and I would hope others would too, and would be uplifted to see him during happier times.

I knew Lawrence a little - but not for as long as I would have liked. He was a great man and I learned a lot from him.
I agree, Alison: it's only right that his pictures remain part of the website, just as his legacy will long remain part of the organisation.
Here's a link to something I wrote following Lawrence's death.

| My personal view is to continue displaying pictures that have relevance to BFS, I would consider photographs of Laurence to be very relevant. |
