The Good Shepherd Centre provides care and education for adolescent girls, and it is the purpose of staff to assist and enable the girls to come to terms with, and to overcome, some of the difficulties which have affected their lives. - Each girl has a Care Plan which is formulated at the Child Care Review and implemented in conjunction with families and social workers.
- Structured education plays an integral part in every girl's individual care plan within the Centre. Many girls have encountered difficulties with mainstream schooling, while others have never attended secondary education due to a variety of complex problems.
- It is the remit of the teaching staff to deliver a stimulating and meaningful educational experience to all girls.
- Every girl is encouraged to realise her educational potential in accordance with her aptitude and ability.
